History of White Crane Kung Fu
White Crane Kung Fu was originated in Ming Dynasty from a Tibet Lama called 'O Dad To'. One day as he walked through a forest, he spotted a fight between a white crane and a gorilla. Despite the firm footwork and aggressive, powerful punches of the gorilla, the white crane managed to deliver sufficient injuries to the gorilla to cause him to retreat back to the forest. Lama O Dad To was inspired by the swift, evasive and coordinated movements of the white crane. Hence, by imitating these defensive and attacking movements of the white crane Lama O Dad To developed these fighting skills and initially called this martial art " the Fist of the Lion's Roar."
Lama O Dad To later taught these skills to Lama Dor Law Gut Tan, then Lama Dor Law Gut Tan taught Sing Long Chong Lo. Since then Sing Long Chong Lo developed more advanced fighting techniques and called this martial art " White Crane Kung Fu ".
Sing Long Chong Lo later taught Wong Lam Hai, then Wong Lam Hai taught Ng Siu Chung. Ng Siu Chung taught Kwong Poon Fu. Great Grandmaster Kwong Poon Fu was the fourth generation leader of White Crane Kung Fu.
Great Grandmaster Kwong Poon Fu taught Grandmaster George Kong. Grandmaster George Kong taught Master Christopher Leong
